went to the dropkick murphys show last night.

okay, i hate doing concert reviews so i'll try to keep this short.

325 punks and skins in attendance. buckshot shorty and the sticklers open the show. as we wait for dropkick murphy's, the crowd chants, "let's go murphys! oi! oi! oi!" spicy comes up on the stage with his bagpipes. the show opens with "for boston." they play almost all my favorite songs, "barroom hero," "the gauntlet," "career opportunities," "finnegan's wake," "forever," "the spicy mchaggis jig," etcetera... they finish the show with "skinhead on mbta." some of the kids go up on the stage with the band. crazy pit, and way too much drinking going on. a skinhead elbows my right eye by accident... great show.
