i wore my "i <3 d-beat" hoodie to work today:

randi: "i heart d-beat"? what is that?

me: nothing.

randi: what is it?

me: it's nothing.

randi: what is it?

me: wow... it really bothers you, huh? not knowing?

randi: yeah. i think it would bother any girl.

me: [smiling mischievously] well, in that case... now i'm really not going to tell you.

randi: ...

me: yeah, i'm an asshole.

randi: yeah, right. you couldn't be an asshole, even if you tried.

me: oh? was that meant to be a complement?

randi: yes.

me: well, thank you then.

randi: why? do you want to be an asshole?

not really, randi. thanks. :)

from the honolulu advertiser:

a 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of two counts of second degree assault tuesday night after she allegedly stabbed her fiance with a knife on two separate occasions.

police said the 46-year-old male and his fiancee were at their mccully-area home drinking when they got into an argument. at 7 p.m., the suspect allegedly got a knife and told the man to leave. when he refused she stabbed in him in the shoulder area, police said.

the fiance then left the apartment and didn't call police. he returned home at 10:30 p.m. and another argument ensued, police said, and the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in the left bicep area.

police were later called and the woman was then arrested.

today, while i was getting my lunch in mililani street, i saw a blonde-haired woman who seemed to strongly resemble beth chapman, from the television show "dog the bounty hunter." doubtful and not wanting to stare at the person just to confirm her identity, i moved on.

then, from the corner of my eyes, i saw a haole man dressed in an outlandish leather outfit who casted all my doubts away. it was dog the bounty hunter—standing so close to me that i could see all the wrinkles on his face. i thought: i saw this guy on t.v., just last night!

i smiled at him in acknowledgement, and for a moment our eyes met.

"hi, dog!" i said, enthusiastically.

he responded with a dismissive silence. he turned his head away from me and directed his attention to his wife and the man whom she was speaking with.

I GOT SNUBBED BY DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER. ;_;

needless to say, my feelings were thoroughly hurt.

a similar thing happened to me just a month ago when i saw honolulu major mufi hanneman walking in bishop street.

this is the second time i've encountered dog. the first time was about three years ago when i saw him and beth in ala moana shopping center... in pacsun, more specifically.
